BattleFeild Bad Company 2
Released shortly after Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2 did not get nearly as much hype. But the longer it has been out the more attention it has been getting. It redefines first person shooters and takes them to a whole new level. The realism in this game continues to blow my mind. The campaign has a very good story line accompanied by the anticipated online feature. Online is based on 4 different roles Assault, Engineer, Recon and Medic. Assault gives you the option to drop ammo boxes for resupply you can choose from various assault rifles, engineer gives you a special drill to fix vehicles and give you an arsenal of rockets and mines to take down vehicles, as well you have a choice of a number of sub machine guns. Recon is a sniping class that gives you the opinion between C4 and a mortar strike. Having a good medic on your team can mean the difference between winning and losing a match. They are light machine gunners that can hold medic packs which will refill your health rapidly, or defibrillators that can revive a fallen team mate within a certain time of their death. If your squad utilizes and perfects all four of these classes you will find tremendous of success online. There are three game types available on line, squad death match four teams of four in an all out battle to reach 50 kills first. Then there is rush, there are two bombsites per stage and the attacking team has to work to plant the bombs and move on to the next two. The attacking team has only 75 lives per stage. It resets when you reach a new stage. If the attackers blow up all stages in the required amount of lives they win. If the defenders can hold the attackers off long enough they win. Finally there is conquest which has 3 flags and the team who can hold most of the flags the longest will win. Over all one of the best first person shooters I have played.
